What Our Clients Say

"After my father passed without a will, we were completely lost. Radhiah walked us through the entire letters of administration process with so much patience. She never made us feel rushed, even when we had many questions. The paperwork that once seemed overwhelming was handled with real care."

"I came to Whitholm wanting to set up a trust for my two young children. Siti was incredibly thorough — she explained every decision point and helped me think through scenarios I hadn't even considered. The trust deed itself is clear enough that I can actually understand what it says, which matters to me."

"My husband and I had been putting off writing our wills for years, always finding reasons to delay. A friend recommended Whitholm and the experience was nothing like we expected — quiet, unhurried, and genuinely helpful. Our wills now reflect exactly what we want for our children. Worth every ringgit."

"I went to Whitholm for probate assistance after losing my mother. Wei Liang was professional and straightforward — he told me exactly how long things would take and kept me updated without me needing to follow up. The process took about nine months in total, which was about what I had been told to expect."

"I appreciated how Whitholm handles both Muslim and civil estate matters. As a Muslim client, I had specific questions about my wasiat and how it interacts with my EPF nominations. Radhiah was knowledgeable about both and gave me clear answers. I left the consultation feeling genuinely informed."

Lim Mei Hwa
Mont Kiara, KL
"We set up a family trust for our elderly parents' assets with Siti's guidance. The process required multiple conversations and revisions, all of which were handled graciously. The final structure really does serve the family's long-term interests, and I feel confident that our parents' wishes will be carried out properly."

Client Journeys
Three situations that illustrate how Whitholm has helped Malaysian families prepare with clarity.
Client Journey · 01
A blended family preparing for the first time
Situation
A retired couple with children from separate prior relationships had no wills in place. Each had different property holdings and wished to provide specifically for their respective children while also protecting their shared home.
Our Approach
We prepared separate wills for each party, advised on the treatment of jointly-held property under Malaysian law, and discussed guardianship provisions for the youngest child. The wills were drafted to work together without conflict.
Outcome
Both clients left with executed wills that addressed their individual wishes and their shared intentions — as well as a clearer understanding of how their estates would interact. Completed over three consultations, within six weeks.
Client Journey · 02
Navigating a challenging intestate estate
Situation
A family contacted us following the sudden passing of their mother, who had left no will. The estate included a property in Kuala Lumpur, EPF funds, and a savings account — with four adult beneficiaries.
Our Approach
We assessed the estate's composition and recommended the appropriate pathway — a High Court Letters of Administration application. We prepared all petition documents, the asset inventory, and accompanying affidavits, managing all correspondence with the court.
Outcome
Letters of Administration were granted approximately ten months after instruction. Assets were distributed among the beneficiaries in accordance with the Distribution Act, and the property title was transferred without dispute.
Client Journey · 03
Establishing a trust for young beneficiaries
Situation
A business owner with two children aged seven and eleven wished to ensure their financial future would be managed responsibly — without a large lump sum being available to them before they were ready for it.
Our Approach
We established a testamentary trust through the client's will, with staged release of funds at ages 21, 25, and 30. We advised on suitable trustee candidates and included provisions for education and living expenses in the interim period.
Outcome
The client has a will and trust structure in place that reflects his precise wishes for each child. He has since updated us following the birth of a third child — an easy revision under our engagement terms.
